WARDROBE AND GROOMING TIPS FOR COMPANY HEADSHOTS

CLOTHING:

Firstly, wear something comfortable! If you don't like it, it'll show in the pictures. Secondly, the tips mentioned here are simply professional suggestions; if you have a certain vibe that is part of your brand, we can definitely play that up and throw these "rules" out the window!

Women: Wear a crisply ironed solid color top that fits you well. You're welcome to also bring a jacket or sweater to try different looks. Jewelry should be minimal if at all. It can be distracting _ and over time, it will also date the images. Be mindful of clothes that have been on hangers too long as it can create a crease on the shoulder and arm areas.

Men: Wear a solid color pressed shirt that fits well around your neck (neither too tight nor too loose that shows a large gap). A suitcoat or sport jacket, or a tie, is a nice way to create an optional look. Be mindful of clothes that have been on hangers too long as it can create a crease on the shoulder and arm areas.

HAIR & MAKEUP:

Women: You should look like you _  just a polished up version. Less is usually better; be especially mindful of overdoing it with eye makeup, especially thick lashes, as it can make it difficult for the light to show in your eyes, which allows them to "come alive."

Men: I do not recommend make-up for men. However, you should make sure to be nicely groomed (beard, nose, eyebrows and ears).

Both: Bring a hairbrush, comb or pick to keep your hair in check. If you have long hair, you're welcome to bring a scrunchy or rubberband to put it up for an alternative look.

EYEGLASSES:

If you wear glasses, bring as many pairs as you have. The quality of glass will make a significant difference in limiting glare. We will also try looks without wearing glasses.
